Doctoral candidates at TUM work on challenging academic questions, and are supported by prominent researchers. TUM Graduate School encourages an environment in which academic knowledge and professional qualification are perfectly interwoven. On the following pages, you will find all the information you need about doing a doctorate at TUM.
This Semester’s Focus: Cooperation and Collaboratio
The TUM Graduate School offers a wide range of courses that support you as a doctoral candidate to further develop your transferable skills and expand your interdisciplinary experience.
Cooperation in science and research is indispensable – at multiple levels: Big research projects involve different – often interdisciplinary – research groups, but also research proposals frequently require collaboration with colleagues from home and abroad and more and more projects are developed in cooperation with non-university research institutes or industrial partners.
Cooperation skills can be developed and improved. Therefore, in this semester we offer several courses that will support you to strengthen your own skill sets. Whether you want to get inspired by our Semester Opening Talk “Science as Cooperation? Theoretical and Empirical Approaches” or need hands-on teamwork and negotiation skills training, our wide selection of courses and speeches will provide the right offer for you!
