Our TUM Sustainability Day will take place on 12 June 2024, to which the entire TUM community and TUM partners are invited. This day will have the character of a festival that informs, inspires, and excites all participants. We want to celebrate the many ideas and the people who are committed to sustainability. We look forward to the participation of all members of our university.

Therefore, we would like to invite all doctoral researchers who are working on the topic of sustainability as part of their doctoral project to submit a contribution to our Call for Abstracts. The 17 global sustainability goals, which were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda, form the content framework. Further information on the content of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals can be found on the United Nations website.

We ask all our doctoral researchers who were or are members of the TUM Graduate School in the past year 2023 or this year 2024 to participate in this call. The dissertations do not have to be fully completed. The prerequisite is that the content deals with sustainability topics that can be assigned to one or more of the 17 SDGs.

The relevant information on the doctoral project or dissertation as well as a short abstract (max. 250 words) on the content, objectives, and the main contribution to sustainability transformation can be submitted using the link below:

We will publish the contributions to Sustainability Day 2024 online in order to communicate the wide range of dissertations in the field of sustainability.

The submission deadline for abstracts is 12 April 2024. 

In addition to the online publication of the submitted abstracts, we will select individual contributions together with members of our Sustainability Board in order to ask the respective authors to submit posters, which will be presented by the authors at the Sustainability Day on 12 June.

The submission deadline for posters is 24 May 2024.
