Every year, the AdONE group convenes for our annual retreat in an external setting in the beautiful southern regions near Munich. The retreat's focus lies on fostering joint research and mutual exchange within the group, introducing new members, as well as promoting subject-related communication.
The scientific success of a research training group is always the sum of individual efforts and the group's successful interplay. We therefore encourage our collegiates to strengthen their interpersonal soft skills by attending workshops or to form activity groups by themselves in order to network, to acquire further research-relevant experiences and to foster their identity as a dynamic team.
Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration goes hand in hand with a strong and well-constructed community within the Research Training Group. AdONE members strengthen this aspect of teamwork by taking part in various voluntary activities together.
The RTG's integral interdisciplinarity and its aim to bolster border-crossing scientific discourses further receives a special aperture by being part of IGSSE's Focus Area Network. Our collegiates therefore enjoy the benefits of being part of a vast scientific community with a variety of additional opportunities to present and support their research projects as well as to broaden their outlook beyond their own areas of work and research.
