Other Advising and Service Offices

There are various other contact points at TUM where you can find competent, topic-specific advice and support.

Research and Teaching

University Library

With more than 1.5 million electronic and print media items, 500,000 items checked out, 5 million full text downloads and 1.8 million library visitors a year, the University Library is the academic information center at TUM. The library’s courses and webinars, which offer solid information about research strategies, databases, correct citation style, reference management and much more, are also highly recommended.

ProLehre

Doctoral candidates who actively participate in teaching or who are "only" interested in teaching and pedagogical techniques will find a diverse qualification program for university pedagogy, individual advising, and concrete support for improving their own teaching skills at ProLehre. For doctoral candidates who want to pursue a university career, we particularly recommend earning the university teaching certificate.

UnternehmerTUM & Start-Up Consulting

The center for innovation and founding companies at TUM (UnternehmerTUM) and TUM Start-Up Consulting help founders, start-ups and established companies successfully found new companies – including designing the initial idea, creating a business plan, building a team, financing, choosing the legal form and supporting the growth phase. In this e-camp, in just three days, you will test out tools and methods while learning how to identify entrepreneurial opportunities from research ideas, use them to develop business models, and communicate them clearly.
