Registration is available 4 weeks prior to the event via cultural-events@gs.tum.de. After registering, you will receive an e-mail with payment details and further information about the meeting point. Your registration will only be official after you have successfully submitted the payment and sent a transfer confirmation e-mail. Please remember that the spots for each event are limited.

April 2024 | Markus Wasmeier Open Air Museum at Schliersee

Did you ever wonder how Bavarian farmers used to live and work? Then join us on our visit to the Markus Wasmeier Freilichtmuseum am Schliersee, where individual tours through the museum provide fascinating insights into farmers' everyday lives in the 18th and 19th centuries. There, you can experience old traditions in all their facets, and together, we will rediscover long-forgotten customs and breathe new life into them. The tour is barrier-free. It is also possible to take your children on the tour, please notify us know when registering.
May 2024 | Augsburg City Tour and UNESCO World Heritage

Let's leave Munich and visit the city of Augsburg, which has a rich history—the city's water management left behind many monuments from the late Middle Ages to 1972. A total of 22 objects are part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The tour leads from the town hall square through the old artisans's town to the waterworks at the Red Gate: one of the three water towers is the oldest water tower in Central Europe.
June 2024 | Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein Castle, also called Fairytale Castle, was built for the Bavarian King Ludwig II (1845 - 1886) in 1868 and was never completed. For him, his castle was a monument to the culture and royalty of the Middle Ages, which he revered and wanted to understand. Built and equipped in medieval forms but with the most modern technology of the time, it is the most famous building of historicism. Until his passing in 1886, the king used Neuschwanstein Castle as his private residence. The castle was opened to the public shortly after and can still be visited.
July 2024 | Hike to the Andechs Monastery

Join us for an easy yet beautiful hike to Kloster Andechs, the lovely monastery on top of a small hill between Starnberger See and Ammersee. Get to see the breathtaking Bavarian landscape and taste all the Bavarian goodies the monastery offers once we reach its welcoming „Biergarten. “ Let’s enjoy the beer, the food, and the view.
