Dr. Ruth Adam is a neuroscientist, data scientist and a yoga teacher. After her Ph.D. in neuroscience she conducted research in various topics and institutions including the Max-Planck-Institute and the University Hospital of Munich (LMU) before transitioning to industry, giving her firsthand knowledge of the challenges in conducting a Ph.D. and the research & industry-life thereafter. She is a certified yoga teacher since 2012, and has since completed the advanced as well as pre- and postnatal teacher trainings. She has many years of teaching experience in both yoga and academia. Helga Nolte is mediator, coach and advisor in questions of good scientific practice. From 2005 to 2012 she was assistant of the German Committee “Ombudsman für die Wissenschaft” and manageress of the central office of this national board. Since October 2013 she is working as assistant of the local Ombuds Board of the University of Hamburg. Since 2010 she works as a freelancer and conducts workshops and lectures on good scientific practice, based on the Curriculum “Teaching good scientific practice”. Xenia Pooth studied German Literature, Art & Media Studies and History at the University of Konstanz. Maria Prahl, M.A. studied Human Resource Development, Eastern European History and Intercultural Communication. Manuela Richter-Meyer has been working as a qualified, independent trainer in communication and sales in various industries for 25 years. At the TUM she is known for extremely practical, lively puplic speaking seminars for example „Rhetorik extrem”. As a certified business coach she has specialized for years in the field for training executives and managers. In her function as a HBDI certified trainer it is important for her that people are able to use their personal resources for themselves and in a team perfectly.

 

Dr. Carsten Rohr studied physics in Munich and did his doctorate on molecular self-organization. He plays and teaches improvisational theatre. He is an experiential educator and an IHK-certified trainer. In his workshops, he exclusively focuses on scientists and engineers and likes to combine hard skills and soft skills training elements. His workshops include "presentation skills", "scientific writing" and "efficiency skills". Additionally, he is co-founder of a medtech start-up.

Nicole Ruby has been working as a freelance trainer with a main emphasis on communication, presentations skills and leadership since 2000 for various customers in administration and economy. Having studied „Mündliche Kommunikation und Sprecherziehung“ in Regensburg in addition to her regular studies in Germanistik and Psycholinguistik she lays value on working in a sensitive way with groups and people, helping them to develop their power and feeling more secure in leading hard conversations or negotiations.

 

Dr. Steffen Schabel has been running his own company Dr. S. Schabel Consulting since 2017 with focus on Consulting, Training and Coaching in Leadership and Sales. He has been awarded a Diploma in Industrial Management at University of Applied Science in Esslingen and a Doctoral Degree from the University of Witten-Herdecke. In over 15 years of industrial experience he was responsible for different leadership and sales functions. Amongst other things he has been Customer Care Director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and had responsibility of various sales teams. He worked for leading companies in the HealthCare sector like Styker, Covidien and Medtronic. Besides his practical experience in management he is a certified Trainer, Business Coach, Manager Digitization and Online Trainer.

Helen Schliep, M.Sc., has recently returned to Munich. She is the daughter of two enthusiastic backpackers, which brought her into contact with different cultures and regions at an early age. Inspired by this, she studied social and cultural anthropology at the LMU with a focus on research. As the final project of her Bachelor's degree, she conducted research on the topic of "expat culture" at two locations in Malaysia. Her Master's degree took her to Edinburgh, Scotland, where she studied International Development with an anthropological-critical perspective. Again, her own research with a regional focus on Palestine served as her final thesis. In addition to her studies and research, she led an international work camp, worked for the Goethe Institute, and completed an internship in a Jordanian civil society organisation. She has been a partner of the Training-Company Working Between Cultures since 2023. As an a trainer, she was trained by InterCultur and works with a focus on global & gender diversity, unconscious bias as well as conflict and communication.

Dr. Adriane Schmidt is a certified communication trainer and business coach. Her focus is on helping people to improve their own communication, appear more confident and use their voice convincingly. She brings her 7 years of experience in the media and marketing industry as a project manager, senior consultant and female leader to coaching and training high potentials and executives. Furthermore, she provides workshops for companies on the topics of argumentation strategies, self-marketing, quick-witted responses to objections or personal attacks and dealing with power and status. She has been working in the field of strategic communication for 10 years. Most recently, she spent 5 years with Mediaplus Munich heading two teams in the areas of international research and product development. In her doctorate at the TU Dresden, Dr. Adriane Schmidt dealt with communication strategies and the impact of messages in the field of renewable energies.

Doris Schönbeck is passionate about the people side of entrepreneurship. Eliza Skowron, M.A. M.A. (German Philology, Intercultural Studies, Teacher for German language), born and raised in Poland. Since 2002 she works as trainer and facilitator at universities, public sector and companies, not only in Germany, but also in many European countries. She completed a three-year education in training and facilitation as well as training in Anti-Bias Approach. In 2015 she completed courses at the Intercultural Communication Institute at Reed University, Portland, USA. Her main focus in training is constructive communication and interpersonal competence with anti-bias approach. Founder of social enterprise Working Between Cultures and author of several books on diversity.

Dr. Anke Soemer is an expert in science policy and management. She is at the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft since 2015 and works as a Senior Advisor in the Presidential Department with a focus on research strategy and digital policy. In 2018, she coordinated the Allianz der Wissenschaftsorganisationen Executive Office when Fraunhofer was the chair. Previously, she was at the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (2000-2015) where she was latest the Head of the Department for Young Scientists, Diversity and the Coordination of Presidential Commissions and played a pivotal role in re-conceptualising the support of Young Scientists.
Anke Soemer studied Public Administration and Law at the Universities of Konstanz and Ottawa and received her doctorate at the Technical University of Munich. She is a certified Business Trainer & Coach (dvct) and Scrum Master (scrum.org). She supports organisations and researchers in strategy processes, research planning and transfer.

 

Tanja Sossikian, M.A. has been working as a freelance trainer, coach and consultant in business companies since 1995. She teaches speech communication at Regensburg University and specializes in conflict management based on Nonviolent Communication as well as health management.

Tanja has a Master’s Degree in English, French and Spanish Studies as well as Speech Communication. She is a certified trainer in NVC (Non-Violent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg), a certified practitioner of Eden Energy Medicine and has her own practice for coaching and health management in Regensburg where she lives with her two sons.

Beatrix Stahlberger studied psychology at the universities of Mannheim and Heidelberg. After receiving her diploma, she worked for several years as a research assistant in the department of Social Psychology and Intercultural Studies at the University of Osnabrück. During that time she was required to give her first seminars, and it was then that she discovered her passion for teaching adults. She founded her own training institute in Düsseldorf in 1998 and has been giving workshops and seminars in emotional intelligence, self management, leadership, conflict management and intercultural communication for individuals, companies and institutions. In addition, she also works as a certified coach (Transactional Analysis) with numerous clients of diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Thomas Teichler is a certified Co-active coach, trainer and consultant working on leadership, team development, change management, and communication.

After a few years with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants he worked in market research, before writing a PhD about science cooperation in the high-tech and security sector at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.

As a policy consultant Thomas worked for the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research in the UK and for Technopolis Group in Germany. He advised the European Commission, national governments and international organizations on research and innovation policy.

Thomas holds degrees in business administration and philosophy and attended the CTI coaching and leadership courses. He is currently working with teams and individuals in the corporate environment, public sector and research organisations.

Monika Maria Thiel, Owner-Manager of Creative Dialogue, studied Theology before gaining an MA in I/O Psychology, Psycholinguistics and Intercultural Communication as well as additional qualifications in the fields of Commercial Mediation, Collaborative Practice, the Graves Values System, Systemic Supervision and Consulting. She is also a certified trainer and speech therapist.

Before founding Creative Dialogue in 2006, Monika Maria managed an adult education institution. She also worked 15 years as an editor for the Springer publishing house in Heidelberg. Monika Maria is a specialist for leadership, team development, communication and conflict management and is a lecturer at a number of universities both in Germany and abroad. As a coach, trainer, facilitator and mediator, Monika Maria has developed international teams and individuals. She has gained international experience in Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, France, the UK, Bolivia, the USA, Israel and Palestine.

 

Prof. Dr. Annelies Vandersickel is currently Head of the Thermal Process Technology Department at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where she develops efficient and cost-effective thermal energy storage systems, a crucial building block for a successful energy transition.

She shares her expertise in this field with other future engineers as Professor of Thermal Energy Storage at the University of Stuttgart. Born in Belgium, she earned her PhD in internal combustion engines at ETH Zurich, before moving to Boston for research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and to Munich for research at the Technical University of Munich.

Her strength lies in communicating complex ideas and processes clearly and competently, and in combining the inputs and interests of different stakeholders to "get things done". As a trained graphic designer, she is passionate about using visualisations to support her communication and thinking. She would like to share this power tool with everyone in her courses and workshops.

Michael Wiedenmann is qualified sports scientist. From training with sports teams he started team, communication and presentation training with students and in industry. He does not see the thematic area of presentation solely as business and industry related but also from his particular point of view as a musician, band leader and actor.

Frank Wendeberg studied psychology in Darmstadt and Frankfurt am Main. He also continued his education in orchestral percussion, music therapy, relaxation techniques and audio engineering.

Since 1990, Frank has been working in the social field with people with disabilities of all ages. From 1998 he worked as a psychological specialist at an institute for visually handicapped children and later at the Dr. Löwsche Institutions. At the same time, he set up his own office with a focus on music therapy in the Regensburg area.

In addition, since 1994 he has also worked in adult education, teacher training and in various universities as well as for many companies and organizations as a trainer, lecturer and coach. His main focus is on ethics in science and leadership, creative team building and life and career planning based on values.

He also works independently as a graduate psychologist with a focus on music therapy, as a musician and composer as well as a sound designer with his own recording studio and company.

 

Ursula Wendeberg, educator, political scientist, historian M.A. is a freelance trainer with a focus on life and career planning, team development and ADHD. She works with a method mix of systemic consulting, superlearning and theme-centered interaction (TCI) for universities, companies and public institutions - and is convinced that an open, appreciative and humorous atmosphere in the course significantly increases the learning success.

 

Katja Wolter studied economics in Stralsund and Liverpool (England). She worked in controlling for an international building materials manufacturer in Frankfurt am Main, then for ARD in Berlin and later as Director of Finance and Controlling for Deutsche Entertainment AG in Berlin. Since 2013 she is the head of Steinbeis Research Center - Institute for resource development in Greifswald and is in science coaching active. She works as a coach and trainer. She advises scientists on career planning, job applications and strategic networking as well as on project management.
