Eligibility
The TUM Graduate School invites all new doctoral candidates who started their doctorate within the last 12 months take part in our Welcome@TUM-GS Event Program. If you have started your doctorate earlier and would still like to participate in our program, please send us an e-mail via cultural-events@gs.tum.de, and we will inform you about available spots.
Your family & friends are also welcome to join our events. However, depending on the number of registrations by TUM doctoral candidates, the spots for additional family & friends may be limited. Kindly contact us in due time to inquire whether it is possible for your family members/friends to join the event in question.
Registration
Registration is available 4 weeks prior to the event via cultural-events@gs.tum.de. After registering, you will receive an e-mail with payment details. Your registration will only be official after you have successfully submitted the payment and sent a transfer confirmation e-mail. Please remember that the spots for each event are limited.
Withdrawal
If you want to withdraw your registration please do so at least 10 days prior to the event via e-mail. Your fee can only be reimbursed if we can find another doctoral candidate to take your spot. Should you not appear on the day of the event, we will not be able to refund you. Should this happen twice, you will not be considered for the remaining events during the semester. If the necessary number of participants is not reached, the event has to be cancelled. In that case your fee will be refunded.
Additional information
About one week prior to the event you will receive more details about the meeting point and further organizational matters.
Photographs
On the day of the event we may take some photographs. We hold the right to use these pictures for our website, social media and future event brochures. If you do not wish to have pictures taken, please inform the representative of the Welcome@TUM-GS Event Program on the day of the event.
Liability
Please note that taking part in the activities is at one’s own risk. The TUM Graduate School will assume no liability.
