Cancelation of all TUM-GS courses due to precautionary measures to contain the proliferation of SARS-CoV-2

In the past few days, the new corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) has spread further in Germany. Against this background, special attention should be paid to general recommendations, as well as TUM specific regulations that also affect the course offers of the TUM Graduate School.

Effects on events organized by the TUM Graduate School

In order to limit the spread of the Corona virus as far as possible, the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts has announced that teaching should be discontinued with immediate effect - until further notice until the beginning of the semester on April 19, 2020.

For the TUM Graduate School, this means that face-to-face events for doctoral candidates are canceled. In addition to the transferable skills courses, this also applies to the kick-off seminars in the above-mentioned period.

General information about the corona virus and individual behavioral instructions

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German public health authority monitoring the latest developments, publishes regular updates and recommendations, including general hygiene recommendations but also information on stays in risk areas. We strongly recommend to keep yourself informed and follow these recommendations: https://www.rki.de/DE/Content/InfAZ/N/Neuartiges_Coronavirus/nCoV.html.

Suspicion and contact cases are to be reported internally to your supervisor or doctoral supervisor. General information from TUM on the subject can be found here: https://www.tum.de/die-tum/aktuelles/coronavirus/
