Call for proposals for IGSSE International Project Teams:
Research across borders and disciplines combined with high-level doctoral qualification & networking

IGSSE’s call for proposals for collaborative, interdisciplinary research projects with international partners is now open until November 17th, 2021.

With the format International Project Teams, the TUM International Graduate School of Science and Engineering (IGSSE) aims to strengthen TUM’s network across the globe, to support international scientific collaboration and to promote the mobility and high-level qualification of doctoral researchers.

In this year’s call for proposals, IGSSE targets collaboration with its partner universities in the EuroTech Universities Alliance:

  • Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU)
  • Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e)
  • École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)
  • École Polytechnique (l'X)
  • Technion – Israel Institute of Technology

Researchers at these institutions are highly encouraged to join forces with TUM and initiate an International Project Team. Please note that constellations with other international partners besides the universities listed above are not eligible to apply. Proposals which exhibit a highly interdisciplinary approach and composition of the engaged researchers are especially welcome.

Successful projects will be supported with a doctoral scholarship funded for a total of four years, combined with relevant funding for consumables and mobilities. The project is supplemented with an up-to-date, tailor-made qualification & networking program.

You can find the Call Document & Guidelines as well as the Proposal Template on the IGSSE website: https://www.igsse.gs.tum.de/index.php?id=319

Deadline for applications is November 17th, 2021.
