Prof. Warren Powell from Princeton University will visit AdONE on April 16-17, 2020 for a two-day workshop. Prof. Powell outlines a mathematical framework for modeling problem classes in the "jungle of stochastic optimization". This framework consists of five fundamental elements (states, decisions/actions/ controls, exogenous information, transition function and objective function), and requires optimizing over policies, which is the major point of departure from deterministic optimization.
The seminar is open for all interested participants. Please refer to this page for registration and further information.
