In recent years, the use of decision diagrams in optimization research has proliferated. The focus of this line of research is to implicitly represent, either exactly or approximately, a collection of solutions to a discrete optimization problem.  In this talk, we will discuss the basics of how decisions diagrams are built and how they are used, as well as a particular application of decision diagrams to transportation scheduling.
