Carolin Bauerhenne admitted to the bidt Graduate Center

AdONE PhD student Carolin Bauerhenne has been admitted to the bidt Graduate Center for doctoral students, supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Sciences and the Arts and the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt).

The bidt Graduate Center aims to support and fund early career researchers in Bavaria and enhance their digital competences. Throughout her PhD, Carolin Bauerhenne develops robust algorithms to digitize planning processes, with an application focus in healthcare. Her first project focuses on robust appointment scheduling to ensure punctual appointments under challenging conditions. In her second project, she develops an efficient scheduling and routing tool for home health care that ensures timeliness and high-quality patient care at minimum cost. In the further course of her PhD, she plans to further contribute to the digitalization of various healthcare planning processes with a focus on fairness aspects.
