Interdisciplinary Winter School: Food and Energy

Aktuelles |

„Food and Energy“ is the topic of the upcoming winter school hosted by Technical University Munich (TUM). Besides scientific qualification, this winter school intends to accelerate interdisciplinarity and professional networking.

To facilitate future collaborations and scientifc exchange, we cordially invite peers from TUM as well as from other german and international universities. The winter school is especially designed for PhD students and post-graduates.

Global food production requires approximately 30% of the total primary energy. Therefore, there are numerous interactions and correlations between these sectors. During the winter school, methods for life-cycle assessments are presented and applied to the production and logistics chains in the food industry. Furthermore, the water, food and energy nexus is highlighted for developing countries.
