In order to contain the proliferation of SARS-CoV-2, all Kick-off seminars of the TUM Graduate School will be cancelled until end of September 2020. Doctoral candidates affected by the cancelation will be contacted separately.
During the initial phase of your doctorate, the TUM-GS Kick-Off Seminar provides you with information about academic work and the diverse offerings at your university. You will meet colleagues from other disciplines, which gives you the opportunity to gain new perspectives and to expand your personal network. Experienced trainers offer targeted support for developing personal skills.
Each Kick-Off Seminar opens with a keynote speech from a member of the academic community or other renowned personalities. An introduction to the TUM-GS and to good scientific practice, along with a science slam, a guided city tour, or a music-based workshop as the highlight of the evening, round off the first day.
