The Studienstiftung’s doctoral funding is aimed at academically excellent and committed doctoral candidates from all disciplines and includes:
- €1,750 per month starting October 2025 (including a €100 research allowance)
- Substantial additional financial support for stays abroad and for doctoral candidates with children
- Combination with a quarter-time position in research and teaching, including social security and university affiliation
- Funding commitment for three years, with an option to extend for an additional six months if needed
- An extra 12 months of funding for parents or individuals whose work on their dissertation is limited due to chronic illness or disability
- A comprehensive educational and networking program, specifically designed for doctoral candidates
For those interested, the Studienstiftung offers a digital information evening twice a year. The next session will take place on Thursday, 13 November 2025.
