The 75th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (Interdisciplinary) will take place from 28 June to 03 July 2026. More than 50 Nobel Laureates and about 600 highly talented young scientists from around the globe are invited to join a unique week of scientific exchange, inspiration, networking, lectures, and panel discussions.
For the 2026 Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, TUM doctoral candidates at the intersection of at least two Nobel disciplines (physics, chemistry, and physiology or medicine) or at the intersection of one Nobel discipline and another discipline from the social or natural sciences are invited to apply.
In addition, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- First attendance at the Lindau Meeting,
- Fluent in English and prepared to actively participate in discussions with Nobel Laureates and fellow young scientists,
- Committed to being present in Lindau for the full duration of the meeting,
- Engaged in extracurricular activities,
- Be a full member of the TUM Graduate School (no guest doctoral candidates).
Application documents:
- Cover letter outlining your motivation for participation (max. 1 page),
- CV (including grades and extracurricular activities),
- List of publications, conference papers/presentations, grants, and academic awards,
- Two detailed recommendation letters in English by the thesis supervisor and/or internationally renowned scientists, who know the applicant well.
