Our program on 20 May 2025 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. consists of:
- A keynote by Prof. Dr. Anja Rammig about the groudbreaking AmazonFACE project - one of the most anticipated experiments in the fields of ecology and climate change science, focused on studying the resilience of the Amazon rainforest.
- A panel discussion with Prof. Dr. Rammig, Sören Metz, TUM Liaison Officer TUM in São Paulo, alongside doctoral and postdoctoral researchers sharing their experiences on the ground. From navigating language barriers and transportation logistics to integrating fieldwork into a packed academic schedule, the event will offer tips and tools to support your research journey. Topics will range from interview studies in Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile, to energy research in Ecuador—just a few examples of the diverse projects and experiences that will be shared.
- To round off the evening, enjoy networking over a buffet featuring Peruvian causas limeñas, Argentinian empanadas, and other delicious dishes from across Latin America.
