Ever heard of Schloss Schleißheim? The palace complex, a historical gem, was founded by the illustrious Duke Wilhelm V of Bavaria, who graced this earth from 1548 to 1626. His vision and legacy are etched in the very stones of this complex. Between 1598 and 1600, Wilhelm oversaw the construction of a farm and a manor house within the complex, surrounded by small hermitages and forest chapels. The Duke's foresight expanded the economic use of the area, establishing a stud farm that supplied the princely stables. Only later did this humble beginning transform into the magnificent country estate that stands today, a testament to the grandeur of the past.
